  I booked over the phone 2 weeks prior to going to the B&B, the owner said she wound confirm few days prior but to come after 2pm. We arrived after travelling 2.5 hours for her to kind of forget we were coming. I stated we were already there so she sent her husband out who was lovely he took us through the beautiful B&B. The B&B has a wonderful backyard setting and layout.Unfortunately the heating hardly worked, so the place was cold. They didn’t provide winter appropriate bedding to keep us warm. In addition to this the toilet leaked at the base and they only provided minimal towels (2 towels ,1 face washes and a bath mat), which made it hard to dry with lack of heating.
  However most of those things can be overlooked as it was a bed and breakfast we were provided cereals, juice, yogurt, milk, jam, chips ect…
  Which we found were out of date, the yogurt was 4 weeks out of date, it was like it was left over items from their last guest.
  As they provided things for toast but didn’t provide bread.
  The female owner made contact on the first day and said she would stop by for payment so I thought I would mention the found items than but she never came by. We left the B&B and I made contact with her for payment on our way home and I mentioned only the expired food items so that could throw them out for the next person. She got defensive and I said I just wanted to let you know as we expected food we could eat and I am only telling you so you can throw them out for the next person. She than rang me 3 more times to rudely talk to me about the expired food. She made no attempt to offer a discount or a discount on another stay, or some places may offer a bottle of wine on the next stay ect..
  But the icing on the cake was having contractors wake us up at 0730 on our only sleep in day, which they were doing work on their place next door.I wish they would of mentioned they had workers coming prior to us booking because we would of booked somewhere else or for a different time.
  She just continued to be catty about the situation and was un approachable.

  This place did not disappoint at all. Big spacious area with a beautiful backyard. The owners next door were very nice and the Dutch man even got our fire place started and gave me a delicious dark beer to try. I would highly recommend this stay to anyone it was absolutely amazing.

  We stayed at Port McCrae B&B for three nights, and enjoyed it so much we wanted to extend our stay. An additional night was available and we happily took it.
  
  The place was extremely well equipped, ample in size and conveniently located close to the beach, supermarket, cafes, restaurants and other nearby destinations.
  
  The deck was nice, the outdoor furniture comfortable. We made use of it daily to relax and take in the tranquil garden. The outdoor shower was relaxing, well equipped and we used it daily.
  
  On two occasions that we reached out to the owners, once for the WiFi password and another to extend our stay, they were very responsive and great to deal with.
  
  Could not recommend this B&B more for its level of comfort, location and friendliness of the owners. We look forward to coming back.

  great place to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet.... a 5 minute walk to the beach and another 5minutes to local restaurants
